The Word One to One
Mobilising a global movement of Bible sharers

When The Word One to One first approached us, we were tasked with refreshing the ministry’s core product: an accessible version of John’s Gospel with notes, designed to help ordinary Christians share God’s Word with those around them. From the outset, however, we recognised that The Word One to One’s mission and vision is far broader than just the core resource we had initially been asked to deliver – it represents a vibrant, global movement of faithful Christians and churches who are actively sharing God’s Word.

Beyond just designing an accessible and engaging new edition of the John notes, we developed a new brand identity and communications strategy for the ministry around the product to draw more people to The Word One to One’s mission and ultimately inspire more Christians around the world to share God’s Word. One of our favourite developments was the introduction of a beautiful new illustrative style that immerses people into the story of the Gospel and lights up their imagination to see the scenes of Jesus’ life and ministry more vividly. We wanted to do more to show that The Word One to One isn’t just a Bible study, it’s an invitation into an epic, living story.

Through our ongoing brand development work and cross-channel communications strategy, we are seeing growth across every area of the ministry. Not only do new Bible sharers continue to join the ministry month after month, but we are constantly encouraged by stories from Christians around the world about how the resources we’ve helped develop are releasing them to share Jesus, wherever God has placed them. As part of this strategy, we helped launch The Word One to One’s YouVersion Bible which have gained over 62,680 subscriptions in 191 countries in 2024—enabling more people to engage with God’s Word, and equipping them to share it with others.
